AVP - Commercial Loan Officer - Westbrook
Due to a recent position change internally, Bath Savings Institution is seeking an individual to join our team as a Commercial Lender in our southern Maine markets, working within our newest branch office in Westbrook. The individual’s level of experience will determine the AVP/VP Commercial Loan Officer level.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with drive and determination to manage an existing loan portfolio meeting the needs of the customer and ensuring the quality of credit.
The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining commercial banking relationships within the Bank’s market area by developing commercial loan prospects, generating loans, referral leads, and other sources to include Small Business, Commercial & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and Construction Financing, as well as making referrals to other banking services.
The candidate will be responsible for working with commercial borrowers to gain an understanding of their business opportunities, collecting and evaluating financial and related loan data, and working closely with the commercial loan underwriting department which assists in analyzing loan requests to determine the credit worthiness of the borrower. Preparing loan proposals to originate, process, and make loan recommendations within lending, management and/or Board of Trustees, authority as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLILTIES
· Knowledge to establish and negotiate terms and conditions under which credit will be extended in compliance with established standards, review commercial loan commitments and close commercial loan requests v understanding proper loan documentation.
· Cross sell Bank products and make referrals within the institution as appropriate.
· Build relationships within the bank with the retail branch team, commercial and mortgage lenders and operations and compliance areas to better support our customers.
· Participate in community organizations and functions to increase the Bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
Educational Requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business or finance
· A minimum of three years of commercial banking experience.
· Must have demonstrated proficiency with analyzing financial statements and underwriting commercial loan opportunities.
· Extensive knowledge of commercial lending practices, policies, and procedures.
· Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, be detail oriented, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional customer service and sales skills.
· Good understanding of financial institution products and services.

Teller - Freeport
The Full-time teller will work approximately 40 hours per week and will have direct contact with customers. All employees are expected to provide Exceptional Service in a prompt and professional manner. Duties include cash handling, processing transactions and responding to customer inquiries. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills and a desire to work with the public. E-Banking Specialist - Bath
Under the general direction of the VP eBanking & Branch Operations, your primary responsibility is to provide customer service and support at a superior level to customers and bank employees for electronic banking services. As an eBanking Specialist, your responsibility is to make customers and employees who contact you over the telephone, email, and online chat feel welcomed and important. It is expected that you can exercise some independent judgment under moderate supervision.
As a member of Branch Administration, you will have opportunities to build and support customer relationships, and to gain a broader perspective of supporting deposit products and services. eBanking Specialists are uniquely positioned to learn about many areas of the Bank and to build skills for a developing banking career.
Educational Requirements
Equivalent to high school diploma.
Previous banking experience and educational achievements helpful.
Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service both over the phone and in person at a superior level.
Proven ability to perform job duties with accuracy, initiative, self-motivation, and teamwork.
Experience with occasional account opening and account maintenance is helpful.
An understanding of branch banking terminology and procedures is helpful.

Telephone Receptionist - Bath
Your primary responsibility is to manage incoming telephone calls while providing a positive first impression for customers. Your responsibilities will include answering and directing calls, taking messages, providing information, and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. You will also assist customers and visitors to the 83 Front Street Operations Building with safe deposit box entry and directions, ensuring adherence with the Bank’s Visitor Policy.
Educational Requirements
· Equivalent to high school diploma.
· Previous experience working as Receptionist, or similar role helpful.
· Exceptional communication and social skills with the ability to build strong relationships with each customer and employee interaction.
· Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and is able to work harmoniously with all employees.

· Is self-motivated and able to function independently.
